Class of 2011
Leadership Clarke County started its 12th year on May 1, 2010. The following alumni currently serve as the Board of Directors:

March 8, 2011 State Government Montgomery-State House and Capitol
April 7, 2011 Graduation TBA - Jackson
The 2011 Class completed Orientation on August 17 with Dorothy Waters doing a great job of chairing the class at the ALDOT office building. The second class, Health and Human Services, was held on September 9th at the Health Department. Sherwanda Gaines chaired this interesting class and also hosted a Health Fair at the Senior Center in Grove Hill. On October 14th the entire class toured the county on a school bus for the Community Development Class. This was a full day of touring, stories, history, lunch at David's Catfish House and visits to all 5 of the municipalities.
We are about half way through the new year and having a great time. The Board is doing a fantastic job of chairing the classes. They are responsible for planning and implementing the entire day's activities.
This year's class consists of 26 adults and 7 youth. This is the fourth year we have included youth in the class with our adults. We recruit one student from each of the high schools in the county. The following schools and students currently participate in the program:

The goal of Leadership Clarke County is to identify and train potential leaders who live and work in the county. The adults chosen for this year are:
